Mexican modernism is the reason our vintage silver looks the way it does: organic subjects — shells, palms, fish — rendered with strong lines, bold scale and a hand-worked surface that holds patina. Between the 1940s and the 1980s the Taxco workshops turned that idea into a design language. These are three pieces from it.
The scallop

Our Large Vintage 925 Silver Scallop Shell Earrings are coastal main-character energy in its most iconic form—bold, sculptural, and impossible to overlook. made in Taxco, Mexico, each dimensional shell catches the light from every angle with the unmistakable presence of a rare estate find.

Vintage Mexican silver, but styled in the now.
Think oversized white linen in Cabo. A silk slip after sunset. Sun-kissed skin, slicked-back hair, and a table waiting by the water in Malibu. They’re quietly iconic, a little dramatic, and fully capable of doing the styling for you.
The sculptural shell

our Vintage 925 Silver Sculptural Shell Earrings were made in Taxco, Mexico in the early 1980s—and somehow look like they were designed for right now.
formed in solid sterling silver, each shell curves outward from the ear in this bold, dimensional silhouette that catches the light from literally every angle. archival in origin, very much main character in practice.
the kind of earrings that do all the styling for you: sunlit skin + an oversized linen shirt a white tee + undone hair a slip dress + dinner somewhere near the water silk after dark + one more drink, obviously
The nautilus necklace

Our one-of-one early 1990s 925 Silver Nautilus Shell Necklace was crafted in Taxco, Mexico, and has exactly the kind of presence modern jewelry keeps trying to recreate. Sculptural, luminous, a little excessive in the most tasteful way—and confident enough to become the entire outfit.
A graduated line of dimensional nautilus shells curves closely around the neckline, connected by articulated links that move naturally with the body. The polished silver catches the light without feeling overly precious, giving it that specific vintage-silver energy that makes everything around it look more expensive.
The styling memo is honestly very simple. Wear it with a white tank, vintage denim and wet hair after the beach. Add it to a bikini and open linen shirt for lunch somewhere that requires a boat. Put it over cream cashmere when the sun goes down, or let it carry a strapless column dress with almost nothing else. She doesn’t need layering. She doesn’t need coordinating earrings. She has it handled.
How to tell the real thing
Weight in the hand, patina in the recesses, a maker’s mark on the back, and fittings from the right decade. We walk through every mark in How to Read the Marks on Vintage Taxco Silver. Everything above is one of one and lives in the Vintage Collection until it doesn’t.
